ACCESS

 

By Flight : Kathmandu is connected by direct flight with Amsterdam, London, Paris,  Frankfurt, Moscow, Vienna, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Karachi, Delhi, Calcutta, Banglore, Dhaka, Bahrain, Mumbai, Paro, Lhasa, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Osaka.

By Road : You can enter Nepal by land from India through six points- Kakarbhitta, Birgunj, Behiya, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi and Mahendranagar or through Kodari from Tibet.

In addition to Tibet and Bhutan, Kathmandu is also connected by air/ road to Sikkim and Darjeeling which make it the natural gateway to our Himalayas.

 

BEST SEASON TO VISIT

 

March-May and September-December are the best times to visit Nepal. The rainy season lasts from June to August.

 

ADVENTURE SPORTS

 

Mountaineering, trekking, rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, canoeing, bungee jumping, motor gliding, paragliding, hot air ballooning and rock climbing.

 

VISA AND TRANSPORT

 

All foreigners, except Indians, need a visa to enter Nepal. Indians must however possess identification papers. Single, Double and multiple-entry visa are available from the Royal Nepalese Embassy or Consulate or at the point of entry on arrival. A single entry visa lasts 60 days.

All movement within Nepal is by bus or plane. Taxis, buses and rickshaws are available in the cities.
